Magno Relojo contemporary fine artist
Magno Relojo, Jr. is a Filipino-born artist who is based out of Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. While growing up in the Philippines, Magno had a natural attraction and talent for drawing. His love of art was realized when his older sisters brought him to an outdoor art exhibition. This initial exposure to fine art allowed Magno to have an amazing aesthetic experience; and more importantly, he recognized his calling to be an artist.
Magno received his BFA at Feati University Fine Arts in Manila, Philippines. Post graduation paths led him toward careers in graphic design and decorative wall finishing. These creative careers gave Magno the tools to think with passion and imagination. He gained both professional, proficient, and creative skills through these design-based careers.
Magno credits his college professor Ibarra dela Rosa for instilling the appreciation and love for the arts. He studied oil portraiture painting under the wing of artist Carin Hebenstreit. Carin’s style of classical Renaissance portraiture inspired and directed Magno’s growing love for technique and realism.
